Not everyone is suitable for lypolisis

Five patients were evaluated today for injection lipolysis… and ultimately NONE of them were suitable candidates for treatment. This perfectly illustrates an important reality: in Medicine, things are never as simple as they appear on social media. Let’s look at why proper patient selection is the most important part of any treatment—for your safety.

1️⃣ 37 mm subcutaneous fat thickness
At first glance, an excellent candidate. However, the patient had significant abdominal sensitivity following multiple RF treatments, threads, and repeated aesthetic procedures. The tissue showed signs of pre-existing inflammation and hypersensitivity. Proceeding with treatment would have carried a high risk of pain, prolonged inflammation, and poor tissue response.

2️⃣ 23 mm subcutaneous fat thickness
An ideal thickness for lipolysis. However, the patient was a smoker and suffered from an autoimmune condition. In such cases, the risk of inflammatory reactions, delayed healing, and unpredictable responses increases significantly.

3️⃣ 30 mm subcutaneous fat thickness
Theoretically a good candidate. However, the patient was a smoker and had a predisposition to thrombosis. Microcirculation and vascular safety are critical factors in these treatments.

4️⃣ 50 mm subcutaneous fat thickness
In this case, lipolysis was simply not the appropriate option. The patient would likely benefit more from liposuction or a combined surgical approach.

5️⃣ Less than 10 mm subcutaneous fat thickness
Generally avoided. There is a higher risk of contour irregularities, poor response, overcorrection, and aesthetic complications.

⚠️ Body contouring treatments are not simple or risk-free procedures. They require:

✔ Proper assessment
✔ Thorough medical history
✔ Knowledge of anatomy
✔ Clinical experience
✔ Careful patient selection

Good Medicine is not about treating everyone.

Good Medicine is knowing when to say “No.”

Always trust your physician—not exaggerated promises or quick fixes promoted on social media.
