Completed his Higher Secondary School education in Limassol, Cyprus.
Completed his military service in the Cyprus National Guard.
Attended Radford University in Virginia, USA, focusing on language studies.
Studied Medicine at the Russian University of Peoples’ Friendship in Moscow, Russia. On 28 June 2004, he was awarded the degree of Doctor of Medicine (MD). During his medical studies, his scientific interests increasingly focused on dermatology, venereology and dermoscopy.
Awarded 3rd Place in the Annual All-Russian Competition Among Young Scientists for the presentation “Bacterial Vaginosis: New Prospective Methods of Treatment” at the Russian University of Peoples’ Friendship, Moscow.
Awarded 3rd Place in the Annual All-Russian Competition Among Young Scientists for “Dermoscopy Is Melanoma’s Enemy”. Presented “Differential Diagnosis of Melanoma Under Dermoscopy” to the Moscow Scientific Society of Dermatologists and Venereologists. Published research on the dermoscopic diagnosis of scabies.
Taught Dermatology to fourth-year medical students at the Russian University of Peoples’ Friendship, Medical Faculty, Department of Skin and Venereal Diseases, Moscow.
Undertook specialist training in Dermatology and Venereology at the Russian University of Peoples’ Friendship, Medical Faculty, Department of Skin and Venereal Diseases, Moscow. Awarded a specialist certificate/diploma in Dermatology and Venereology.

Presented research at the 1st International Dermoscopy Society Congress in Naples, Italy, including work on dermoscopic criteria of Acanthosis Nigricans and their correlation with histopathology. Participated in the 15th Congress of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (EADV) in Rhodes, Greece. Presented the poster “Criteria of Different Skin Diseases Under Dermoscopy” and further work including “The Way Dermoscopy Saves Lives.” His scientific activity during this period included research and publications concerning melanoma, dysplastic nevi, Kaposi’s sarcoma, HHV-8, lichen planus, acanthosis nigricans, keratoacanthoma, sebaceous hyperplasia, teledermoscopy and other dermatological conditions.
Winner of the John Stratigos Memorial Scholarship at the 15th Congress of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (EADV), Rhodes, Greece.

Participated extensively in scientific meetings and congresses, including the 21st World Congress of Dermatology in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Completed further professional training and certification in Laser Medicine, Dermatosurgery, Botulinum Toxin in Dermatology, Mesotherapy, Cosmetology, Trichology, and laboratory diagnosis of skin diseases and mycoses.
Completed the International Dermoscopy Diploma in Graz, Austria.

Scientific work during this period included publications and case reports involving dermoscopy, teledermoscopy and skin disease diagnosis.
